Holy shit. Did you know these Star Wars movies make a ton of money? Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story just passed $520 million at the global box office, Deadline reported Monday. The first standalone film in the Star Wars universe has now bagged an estimated $523.8 million worldwide, a number we can safely say qualify as pretty damn good.

Rogue One took the top spot at the holiday box office in France, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, and elsewhere. The opening weekend drop was an estimated 65 percent, which totally sounds like a pretty abysmal statistic but is actually nothing of the sort. As Deadline explained in their box office rundown Monday, “steeper-than-normal dips” in revenue were expected this year due to both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day falling on a weekend.

The best part about Rogue One stacking up the box office dollars? The movie is doing huge numbers without a classic Star Wars opening crawl. For the dude who made the original 1977 crawl, that’s kind of a bummer. “Frankly, it is a huge mistake, because the image is so iconic and it’s so important to tens of millions, hundreds of millions of fans,” Dan Perri told the Hollywood Reporter last week. “I couldn’t imagine it starting without that. It’s foolish.”
