On his breakout hit from 2008 “Coconut Juice” Tyga raps, “You put the lime in the coconut and twist it all up.” Either this song is popular among drug traffickers and they mixed up the lyrics or this was just a terrible attempt at smuggling drugs into the US as nearly two tons of marijuana was found camouflaged as fake limes by US Customs and Border protection officials in Pharr, Texas.

According to a report from CNN, a total of 3,947 pounds of pot was seized from a commercial shipment of key limes on January 30th. The truck hauling the massive amount of fake produce was attempting to cross the Texas-Mexico border near the Gulf of Mexico when the narcotics and K9 team, along with an imaging detecting system, discovered the illegal packages.

The total shipment has an estimated value of $789,467. Apparently, this isn’t the only time drug smugglers have tried to sneak marijuana across the border as a shipment produce. Last year officials seized 2,493 pounds of marijuana disguised as fake carrots at the same border crossing.”
